Abstrak :

        The purpose of this study was to determine whether peer learning methods are better than the application of conventional learning physics learning outcomes of students of class XI MIPA SMAN 1 Batang Anai. This type of research is quantitative reaerch with a research method that is quasi experiment. The population in this study is the class XI MIPA to XI MIPA 4, amounting to 125 people, and a sample of 63 people with cluster random sampling technique. Data is processed using one-party t test techniques. The results of one-party t test results obtained tcount is 2.38, and the value of tcount>ttable 2.38>1.68. it can be conclude that the method of peer learning is better than conventional learning. In addition, the percentage of students self confidence was obtained, namely 72% in the experimental class and 46% in the control class. Then it can be concluded that students in the experimental class have higher self confidence compared to the control class.
