Abstrak :

            The purpose of this study is to describe what are the leading sectors in the Padang-Bukittinggi inter-city corridor, the distribution of the leading sectors in the Padang-Bukittinggi City corridor, and to find out the patterns of the leading sectors in the inter-city corridor of Padang-Bukittinggi. This research is a quantitative descriptive study, carried out in the Padang-Bukittinggi inter-city corridor covering 6 regencies in the Padang-Bukittinggi corridor. The research sample was taken with a total sampling technique ie the entire population was taken as a sample. This study used secondary data obtained from BPS in the Padang Bukittinggi corridor published in 2018. Location Quotient Analysis (LQ) is a technique used in this study. The results of this study indicate 1) Leading sectors in the Corridor between Padang-Bukittinggi City, where in Padang City the leading sectors are company service sector, Padang Pariaman Regency mining and quarrying sector, Tanah Datar District Agriculture, forestry and fisheries sector, Padang Panjang City sector sector Water Supply, waste management, waste and recycling, Agam Regency agriculture, forestry and fisheries sector, Bukittinggi City electricity and gas procurement sector. 2) Distribution of leading sectors in the inter-city corridor Padang-Bukittinggi namely in the city of Padang there are all sectors above the corridor GRDP, Padang pariaman 15 sectors above the GRDP and 2 deposits under the GRDP, 14 Tanah regency above, 2 below and 1 sector is the same as the corridor GRDP, Padang Panjang City has 6 above, 8 below and 2 sectors are the same as the GRDP, Agam regency has 14 above, 2 below and 1 the same as the corridor GRDP and in Bukittinggi there are 10 above, 6 below and 1 are the same as the corridor GRDP. 3) the leading sector pattern in the Padang-Bukittinggi corridor is a clustering pattern because the leading economic sector components are centered on the city area and the regency area in the corridor corridor there are only a few potential / superior components.
