This research aimed to know what was the results of students 'mathematics

learning with applied active learning strategies LSQ type was better than the results of

students' mathematics learning with applied conventional learning in class XII IPA

SMAN 2 Batang Kapas. Type of this research was experimental research with the design

of this research random to the subject. The population in this research were all of the

students at the class XII IPA SMAN 2 batang kapas in the lesson year 2016/2017. Sample

class which selected was class XII IPA2 as experimental class and class XII IPA1 as

control class. Instrument in this research was the final test with a reliability test = 0.794.

Based on the results of this research that applied active learning strategies LSQ type

could be improved student learning outcomes which indicated by the average score of

students 'mathematics learning outcomes experimental class was higher than the average

results of students' mathematics learning control class. It can be concluded that the results

of students 'mathematics learning with applied active learning strategies LSQ type was

better than the results of students' mathematics learning with applied conventional

learning for the students class XII IPA SMAN 2 Batang kapas.
