Abstrak :

            Parents have a role and function to provide primary education and socialization to children from an early age with maximum time, but in reality in the Koto Tangah Tabing District that there are parents who put children into PAUD institutions at an early age should parents who provide education to early age but parents prefer to put children into PAUD so the purpose of this study is to describe the internal and external factors of parents entering children into Early Childhood Education (PAUD) in the Koto Tangah Tabing District,and describe the external factors of parents entering children into Early Childhood Education (PAUD) in Koto Tangah Tabing District. This study uses a qualitative approach and descriptive type of research. The informant selection technique is done by purposive sampling. Informants in this study were parents in PAUD Jabal Rahmah and PAUD Bhakti Bunda. The collection method is done in three ways, namely: observation, in-depth interviews and document study. Analysis of the data used iteractive data from Miles Huberman. The results of this study are that there are two factors that cause parents to put their children into PAUD, namely: Internal factors that influence parents to put their children into PAUD in Padang City (case study in PAUD, Koto Tangah Tabing District, namely: a. The importance of education for parents , b) parents' interest to include children in PAUD, c.children experience speech delay, for externals is, external factors that affect parents entering children in PAUD in Padang City (case study in PAUD District Koto Tangah Tabing, namely, (a) parents who are busy working, (b) supporting facilities and infrastructure in PAUD, (c) neighborhood where parents live.
