Paddy frog (Fejervarya cancrivora) are vertebrate animals whose natural habitatis in the rice fields. Environmental conditions that continue to suffer damage lead to loss of natural habitat of paddy frog, thus causing reduced populations of paddy frog. In relation to that conducted research on the population density ofpaddy frog (Fejervarya cancrivora) in the rice field Jorong Koto Tinggi Kecamatan Sangir Kabupaten Solok Selatan and also measuring factor of environmental chemistry physics. The type of this research was Deskriptive research using transect line along 100 m consisting of 10 plot measuring 10 x 10 m systematic arranged. Sampling done with two observations of dark weater and bright weather. Based on the research that has been done on Rice field in Jorong Koto Tinggi Kecamatan Sangir Kabupaten Solok Selatan can be concluded that the population density of paddy frog (Fejervarya cancrivora)was 0,47 individuals/ and environmental chemical physick at study sites were in optimal range for paddy frog life.
