Abstrak :

            This research is motivated by the presence of prisoners of criminal acts of corruption who experience physiological, cognitive, emotional, interpersonal symptoms and the existence of prisoners undergoing a change in appetite due to the burden of thought. This study aims to describe the stress of prisoners in criminal acts of corruption seen from, 1) physiological 2) cognitive, 3) emotional, and 4) interpersonal. This research is a quantitative descriptive study. The population in this study were 24 prisoners of Class II A Padang Penitentiary Corruption. Researchers used a total sampling technique for research sampling. The number of samples in this study were 24 prisoners of corruption. The instrument used by researchers was a questionnaire. Whereas for data analysis the percentage technique is used. Based on the results of data analysis conducted by researchers revealed in general that the stress of prisoners of corruption is in quite a lot of categories and seen from, 1) physiologically in quite a lot of categories 2) emotionally in quite a lot of categories 3) cognitive in a small category, 4) interpersonal is in quite a lot category. Based on the results of this study, it can be recommended to the head of detainees to be able to foster prisoners of corruption convicts with proper handling so that prisoners of criminal acts of corruption can overcome the stress they experience in custody and later when free they are not stressed to live their lives in the future.
