Abstrak :

The ability to write student activity proposals is still lacking or low because students don't understand. Students find it difficult to determine the background of the problem and objectives or the elements in the activity proposal. This type of research is quantitative research with experimental methods and the research design used is one group pretest and posttes design. First, the average value of writing proposal activity skills before using the brain writing learning model of class XI students of SMA N 1 Pagai Utara Selatan Mentawai Regency is 56.22 in the range of 55-65% with sufficient qualifications (C). Second, the average value of writing proposal activity skills after using the brain writing learning model of class XI students of SMA N 1 Pagai Utara Selatan Mentawai Regency is 77.27 in the range of 76-85% with a Good qualification (B). Third, there is a significant effect of using brain writing learning model on proposal writing skills activities of class XI students of SMA N 1 North South Pagai Mentawai Regency with t count> t table (7.03> 1.70) thus, H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted.
