Abstrak :

This study aims to determine whether there are differences in physics learning outcome of students in Think Talk Write model accompanied by Speed ​​Tests with a scientific approach in class X MIPA SMAN 5 Padang. This type of reserch is a quasi experiment, with a postest only control group design research design. Sampling was done by cluster random sampling tecnique. This research in two sample classes, experiment class and control class at SMAN 5 Padang. The instrumen used in this study is the essay test for cognitive domain in the form of a final test. In the experimental class obtained an averag value of cognitive domain that is 70.52 and control class obtained an average value of cognitive domain is 56.14. Based on these results the hypothesis testing uses Mann Whitney test obtained Zhitung = 9.5 and Ztable = 1.64, where if Zhitung> Ztable then the hypothesis is accepted. This study shows that there are differences in physics learning outcomes of students in the Think Talk Write model accompanied by a Speed ​​Test with a scientific approach to business material and energy in class X MIPA SMAN 5 Padang.
