Abstrak :

        This study describes "the implementation of thematic learning models based on local culture in Lima Puluh Kota Elementary School (Case Study of SDN 03 Mungo Luak District, SDN 02 Taram Harau District, SDN 04 Bukik Sikumpa Lareh Sago Halaban District". Problems found in the research of students who are still confused in the learning process that continues due to the many themes that are interrelated with one another Research uses qualitative methods in the form of evaluative data collection techniques using observation, interviews and temporary documentation studies and data management techniques in the form of data collection, reduction data, presentation and conclusions.The results of this study indicate that the learning planning stage still looks varied At the implementation stage of thematic learning the learning activities in class are still not implemented properly seen in the delivery of material that is still separate. the style faced by the teacher at the planning stage is the lack of resource books
