This resecarch motivated because of the lack of motivation of students to participate a learning. The purpose this study was to determine the effect of the application of the problem based learning (PBL) model along with the speedtest on the physics learning outcomes of students in class XI MIA SMAN 1 Siberut Utara. This type of research is a quasi-experimental. Sampling was done by saturated sampling. This research was conduceted in the two sample classes namely class XI MIA 1 as an experimental class and class XI MIA 2 as a control class. Research data seen in the cognitive and affective domains. are value of experiemental class students using a learning model in the form of problem based learning that is 54.80 and the control class using a scientific learning model that is 42.92. Furthermore, hypothesis testing is done using the t test. T-test analysis results obtained tcount> t table means that H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted. Meanwhile, the average value in the affective domain in the experimental class is 3.55 and in the control class is 3.10. So, it can be concliuded that there is an influence of the application of the problem based learning (PBL) model accompanied by a speedtest on the physics learning outcomes of the XI MIA Negeri 1 Siberut Utara high school
