This study aims to determine the socioeconomic differences between the indigenous population and the migrant population in the village of Purwosari, PelepatIlirSubdistrict, Bungo District, in terms of employment, income, level of education, ownership of assets and customs. This type of research is comparative descriptive. The population of the study were as many as 107 indigenous families and 17 migrants. The research sample was taken by using the Proposal Random Sampling technique, that is 53 families of indigenous people and 17 families of migrants. Data analysis uses descriptive analysis and hypothesis testing. The results of the study found that: (1) Employment of indigenous people and migrants in Purwosari village were mostly workers / peasants and civil servants, occupations that were prominent in the indigenous population were civil servants and migrant supporters, namely traders and farmers. Occupation of side jobs sometimes exists. The number of family members who work 2 people and working hours in one day is 10-12 hours / day, (2) There is a difference in income between the native population the migrant population is better compared to the native population (t count = -2.314 <-1.671), (3) There is a difference in the level of education between the indigenous population and the migrant population in Purwosari village (t count = -2.672> -1.671) ,, where the education level of the migrant population is better than indigenous people, (4) There are differences in asset ownership between indigenous people and migrants in Purwosari village (t count = -2,075> -1,671) ,, where ownership of migrants is better than that of indigenous people and (5) Indigenous indigenous people and migrants , still has the customs / traditions of marriage, death and birth, still carrying out the customs / traditions of marriage, death and birth in a residential area, sometimes carrying out marriage customs / traditions , death and birth are not in accordance with the rules, customs / traditions have very prominent differences and may and never follow the customs / traditions that apply to each group.and the migrant population (t count = -2,314> -1,671), where the income of
