Benthos are aquatic organisms that are attached to or live on the bottom of the waters. Benthos can be used as a biological indicator in the pollution of waters because benthos has resistance and adaptation to water. The composition of benthos is influenced by the state of the chemical waters physics of the aquatic environment. This study aims to determine the composition of benthos contained in Diatas Lake. This research was conducted in April - May 2018 with the descriptive survey method. The composition of benthos found is consisting of 12 genera consisting of 2 classes 5 orders of 9 families. The highest density in sequence is at Station I genus Corbicula (785.19 Ind / m2), Station VI genus Pachydrobiella at (281.33 Ind / m2), Station IV genus Corbicula (207.56 Ind / m2), Station II genus Pachydrobiella (192.44 Ind / m2), genus Gyraulus Station III at (88.89 Ind / m2), and Thiara genus at Station V (59.11 Ind / m2). Index Diversity is around 1.1226 - 1.8568 in the category of moderate polluted water quality. The condition of the c chemistry physics of the waters of the Diatas Lake is suitable for benthos life.
