The use of plants by traditional communities is studied in ethnobotany studies. Ethnobotany is defined as a study that explains the relationship between humans and plants. In Koto Jayo Hamlet, Bungo District, the majority of people still use plants as medicine to treat their illnesses. The results of research on medicinal plants can be used as popular books. This study aims to determine the types of medicinal plants in the Koto Jayo Hamlet, Bungo Regency as a popular book. This research was conducted in two stages, the first stage was a descriptive study with observation and direct interview techniques. Product development research in the form of popular books using the Four-D model. Each plant species was analyzed regarding the use value of each species and processed descriptively. The results of research conducted in the Koto Jayo Hamlet, District of Bungo, found 127 species of medicinal plants with 57 families that can treat 74 kinds of diseases. The most widely used plant parts are leaves. Processing techniques for medicinal plants are most often done by boiling. The types of medicinal plants found that can be used as popular books have been developed to be very valid and have been readability tested. It can be concluded that the medicinal plants found were 127 species and have been integrated into a popular book with a validity value of 91.77% very valid criteria.
