Abstrak :

The background of this research by many students copy and paste the answers

their friends without asking for the settlement process and the learning outcomes

of student mathematics learing is still low. The purpose of this research is to know

whether learning outcomes of students who apply cooperative learning model on

NHTtype is better that the student who apply conventional class XI IPS SMAN 6

Padang. This is experimental research. The population in this research is the XI

IPS-grade students of SMAN 6 Padang of the year 2016/2017, and they consist of

four classes with random sampling technique. The selected classes are XI IPS 1

class as an experimental class and XI IPS 3 class as a control. The instrument used

in this research is final tests. The form of tests provided is essay with the number

of 5 problems with reliability of 0.896. Final test of data analysis used t-test which

use subject. The learning outcomes of hypothesis test is thitung=2,698 is more than

ttabel=1,674 and the hypothesis is accepted. It can be summarized that student’s

who apply cooperative learning model with Numbered Heads Together (NHT)

type is better that the student who apply conventional class XI IPS SMAN 6

Padang.
