Abstrak :

This research is motivated by the lack of interest in student learning in sociology learning, this study aims to determine the effect of the application of the method of hypnoteaching on the learning interest of class X.2 students in SMAN 1 IV Nagari Bayang Utara, Pesisir Selatan Regency. The theory used in this study is a humanistic theory that prioritizes processes rather than learning outcomes. This type of research is quantitative descriptive. The population in this study were students of class X.2 SMAN 1 IV Nagari Bayang Utara. Sampling using total sampling technique with a sample of 24 students. The instrument used in this study is a questionnaire. Data types are primary and secondary data. The results showed that students' interest in learning sociology with the application of the hypnoteaching method was seen based on the results of the t test obtained t value of 10.4235> t table-1.771 with a significance level of 0.05 which means that t count is greater than -table, so the hypothesis is accepted is Ha. Means there is a significant influence in the application of the method of hypnoteaching to the learning interest of class X.2 students in SMAN 1 IV Nagari Bayang Utara, Pesisir Selatan Regency.
