This research was based by the Padang Luar Traditional Market in Agam Regency which is the largest horticultural transaction market in West Sumatra. There are many traders, the majority of horticultural traders. Although traders sell the same type of merchandise, but they different types of traders that can be grouped. The purpose of this study was to analyze the typology of horticultural traders in the Minangkabau Traditional Market (Study in Padang Luar Market, Agam Regency). The theory used was the theory of social differentiation. Research informants were taken purposively, namely horticultural traders who have kiosks or warehouses (9 people), horticultural traders who do not have kiosks or warehouses (7 people), horticultural farmers (11 people), market administrators (1 person), shipping company (1 person). The type of data was primary data and secondary data. Data analysis was performed with an interactive data analysis model of Miles and Huberman. The results of this study indicated that there is a typology of Horticultural traders based on levels, namely (a)large traders, (b)small traders, (c)intermediary traders (pakang), (d) intermediary traders between provinces.
