Abstrak :

        The problem in this study is the idea of the chronological thinking skills of students in the history lesson in IPS 1 class at SMAN 1 Pancung Soal, Kabupaten Pesisir Selatan. The purpose of this research is (1) to describe the idea of the chronological thinking ability of students in the learning process of class XI IPS 1 at SMAN 1 Pancung Soal, Kabupaten Pesisir Selatan. (2) Describe the student constraint in chronological thinking in the subjects of class XI IPS 1 history at SMAN 1 Pancung Soal, Kabupaten Pesisir Selatan. The results of this study showed that the teacher of historical subjects at SMAN 1 Pancung Soal, Kabupaten Pesisir Selatan in implementing the analysis of chronological thinking skills applied to learners has been well-done in accordance with RPP material. So the obstacles faced by learners in implementing chronological thinking on the students lack disciplinary discipline in learning one is often late, out during the lesson hours.
