Abstrak :

This research was conducted because of the difficulties that faced by XII IPA grade students at SMA Negeri 1 Pancung Soal in uderstanding the physics lesson material which caused low score on students learning achievement. Thus, this research objective was to know the effect of carousel learning method toward the learning achievement of XII IPA grade students at SMA Negeri 1 Pancung Soal. This research used quasi-experimental research with post-test only control group design. The data of this research were the students cognitive domain which taken from essay test as the instrument. Based on the analysis of the data, it was known that the average value of cognitive domain for both classess were 81,72 for experimental class and 69,32 for control class. The two classess were distributed as normal and homogenous with 0,05 significancy based one-tailed t-test. The calculation result was th = 4,62 with ttable =1,67. Since th > ttable, thus H0 was rejected and H1 was accepted. It can be concluded that the students of XII IPA at SMA Negeri 1 Pancung Soal which treated by carousel learning method are better in physics learning achievement than those who treated by conventional learning method.
