Abstrak :

This research and development aims to produce digital modules with material in the initial protocol (SIP) softswitch server installation procedure and to determine the feasibility of digital modules with initial protocol protocol (SIP) softswitch installation materials for learning data communication in class XI TKJ at State Vocational Schools 6 Padang. The research method used is the research and development method, with the development design chosen is to use the 4-D development model. The development steps are as follows. (1) define, (2) design, (3) develop, and (4) dessiminate. The results of the assessment by media experts in terms of display design layout aspects: 90.00%, topographic text components: 90.00%, image: 93.33%, animation: 90.00%, audio: 85.00%, videos: 90.00%, packaging 95.00%. Overall the assessment of the media expert validator test on the Digital Module is 90.48%, so the level of validity can be interpreted as Very Valid. Assessment results by material experts in terms of aspects of curriculum content: 100.00%, Users: 92.00%, Learning: 91.43%, Packaging: 100.00%, Closing: 90.00%. Overall, the assessment of the material expert validator test for the Digital Module is: 95.69%, so that the validity level can be interpreted as Very Valid. The results of the practicality test assessment in terms of product quality aspects: 85.54%, effectiveness of learning time: 82.5%, benefits: 86.25%. Overall, the practicality assessment of the Digital Module is 84.76%, so that the practical level can be interpreted as practically used. In conclusion, based on the assessment along with expert input and the results of the field trials the Digital Module has been tested for its feasibility and can be used in the learning process in Data Communication subjects in the Computer and Network Engineering Department at Padang 6 Vocational High School.
