Abstrak :

The Reasearch is motivated as follows. Students do not like learning to write fantasy text, students do not understand the language rules of rantasy story texts, students only get material from books obtained in the library, students are bored because the teacher only explains the fantasy text. The purpose of this study is an influence on the use of media for learning serial image on learning to write fantasy text. This type of research is quantitative research with experimental methods. The research design is The Randomized posttest only control group. Sampling teahnique deliberately chosen based on certain characters. the data in this study are the test scores of the ability to write fantasy story texts without and by using serial. This research instrument was obtained through performance tests. Based on. First, the results of the ability to write fantasy text without using serial learning media for VII grade students of SMP Negeri 1 Sitiung obtained an average score of 67,58 more than enough qualifications (C) . Secondly, the ability to write fantasy story text using serial learning media for VII grade students of junior hight school 1sitiung got 78,85 with good quqlifications (B). Third, the significant effect of media learning in serial image media on the ability of write fantasy text stories for grade VII Students of junior higth school 1 sitiung because tcount it > ttable (5,73 > 1,67)
