Abstrak :

This study aims to describe teacher perceptions of children with special needs at SMKN 6 Padang. the method used is quantitative descriptive. The study population was 73 students, the sampling technique selected with total sampling to be 73 students. The instrument used is a questionnaire. Based on the results of research on teacher perceptions of children with special needs in SMKN 6 Padang is in a fairly good category, with a limit of 3 sub-variables, namely: 1) Teachers' perceptions of children with special needs viewed from the cognitive aspect are in a pretty good category. 2) Teachers' perceptions of children with special needs seen from the affective aspect are in a pretty good category. 3) Teachers' perceptions of children with special needs seen from the conative aspect are in a fairly good category. Based on the results of this study it is recommended for each teacher to continue to maintain his assessment of students so that students also feel that the teacher is in school.
