Abstrak :

            This study was conducted to determine students mathematics learning outcomes by applying the Team Assisted Individualization (TAI) type of cooperative learning model that is better than students' mathematics learning outcomes using conventional learning models. This type of research is an experiment with a randomized research design on the subject. The population in this study were all students of class VIII SMPN 33 Padang Academic Year 2017 / 2018. The sample chosen as the experimental class was class VIII.5 and as the control class was class VIII.3. The research instrument is the final test. Data analysis is done by testing hypotheses using one-party t test. Based on the results of hypothesis testing obtained t_count = 2.27 and t table = 2.00. So it can be concluded that students 'mathematics learning outcomes by applying the cooperative learning model of Team Assisted Individualization (TAI) type are better than students' mathematics learning outcomes by applying conventional learning models in mathematics lessons.
