Abstrak :


This study aims to determine whether student learning outcomes are better by applying the Teams Games Tournament type cooperative learning model than conventional learning class VIII Batang Anai Junior High School 1. This research is an experimental study with a randomized research design on the subject. The population of this study was the eighth grade students of Batang Anai Junior High School 1 Academic Year 2017-2018. The sampling technique was done randomly, with class VIII 5 as the experimental class and class VIII 4 as the control class. This research instrument is an essay-shaped final test. The final test data analysis technique uses one-party t test. Based on the analysis of the final test it is known that both classes of samples are normally distributed and homogeneous. Hypothesis test results obtained = 0.19 is greater than  = 1.67 and it can be concluded that the learning outcomes of students who apply the cooperative learning model type Teams Games Tournament is better than student learning outcomes using conventional learning class VIII Batang Anai Junior High School 1.
