Abstrak :

            The problem in this examination are dominion trace: one the students have difficulty in deleloping texts into essays. second, the student are less in control of the structure and rules of explanation text especially in the use of conjunctions. third, vocabulary mastery and indonesian spelling quidelines owned by student are still lacking. fourth, the teach whwn teaching only uses the talkative method and use less media. the purpose of this is to describe the effect of the use of pair check learning models for class XI student of SMAN 1 Painan. the type of this research in quantitative research with the randomizes posttest only control group research design. this lookup approach is an experiential custom. the community of the fint out abaut wass full graduate of type XI of SMAN 1 Painan students. based on the resultas of the analysis of the research data it is concluded as follows: first, the capability to author annotation texts for clasification XI students of SMAN 1 Painan without using pair check learning model abtained an average score of 69,67 which is in the mastery level of 66-75% qualifications that is sufficient. secondly, the understanding to transcribe expression texts for grade XI students of SMAN 1 Painan by using the pair check learning model abtained an avarage score of 78,21 which is in the mastery level of 76-85% qualifications that good, third, there is a significant influence on the use of the pair check learning model on the competen to compose history texts in class XI students of SMAN 1 Painan can be seen based on the results of the t-test, that the choice speculation (H1) is universal at a significant degree of 95% an dk=n1+n2-2 because tcount>ttabel (2,64>1,67) then H1 is accepted and H0 is rejected.
