Abstrak :

          The problem found at school are teaching materials used at school using only textbooks and student worksheets (LKPD). Based on the results of the analysis of books used at school, only displays a few examples of images of plants that were useful as medicine. The result of the questionnaire responses of students that have been carried out results show that students need additional examples of plants that was useful as medicines on sub-material functions and benefits of biodiversity in Indonesia. The purpose of this study was to determine the types of medicinal plants used by the Durian Pandaan village community as an additional contribution to the example of plants used as medicines on sub-material functions and benefits of biodiversity in Indonesia. Making of teaching materials began with analyzing textbooks used in schools and distributing questionnaire for student responses to teaching materials. Development of teaching materials used the 4D model to the validity test stage. The data were analyzed using percentage techniques and processed descriptively. The average value of the questionnaire validity results of the teaching material validator was 89.75% with  very valid category. It can be concluded that the teaching materials of books on sub-material functions and benefits of biodiversity in Indonesia in the SMA / MA grade X produced are very valid and can be used in the learning process.
