Abstrak :

        This study aims to describe the ability to writing the structure and language of exposition texts without and by using a Numbered Head Together model of the ability to writing the structure and language of exposition text class X students of SMA Negeri 13 Padang. This type of research is quantitative by using experimental methods. The design of this study is Postest Only Control Design. The sample in this study were 32 grade X students of SMA Negeri 13 Padang. The data in this study are scores on the ability to writing the structure and exposition of exposition texts without and by using the Numbered Head Together model. This research can be concluded as follows. First, the ability to writing the structure and linguistic text of the exposition without using the Numbered Head Togethermodel of class X students of SMA Negeri 13 Padang obtained an average value of 57,59 at a range of 56-65% with more than enough qualifications (C). Second, the ability to writing the structure and linguistic text of the exposition using the Numbered Head Together model of class X students of SMA Negeri 13 Padang obtained an average grade of 75,74 at a range of 66-75% with good qualifications (LdC). Third, from the results of data analysis that has been done an alternative hypothesis (H1) is accepted at a significant level of 95% and dk = n1 + n2-2 because tcount> t table (6,60 > 1,68).
