This research in the background by student self-adjustment.The purpose of this study is describe the profile of adaptation of transfer students viewed from: 1) positive adjustment characteristics, 2) wrong adjustment characteristics. This type of qualitative research is a case study. Key informants were 2 transfer students and 4 additional informants namely 2 homeroom teachers, counselors, Indonesian language teachers. The instruments used were interview guidelines, data analysis techniques used data reduction, data display, and conclusion making. The results of the study:1)positive self-adjustment characteristics are ignorant when experiencing problems, are not open, find out the problem to friends, like looking for reasons that are not logical, hard to adjust to the environment, repeating the same mistakes, learning will help adjustment, emotional, venting anger, ignoring if advised 2)the characteristics of the wrong adjustment is to justify the wrong actions, can not forget the unpleasant experience, angry,like revenge,often daydreaming and lazy.
