Abstrak :

This research is motivated by students' writing ability is still low, students were not mastery in the structure and language rules of biographical texts. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of using Think Talk write (TTW) model on the Writing Ability of Biographical Texts of X Grade  Students of SMK Negeri 1 Gunung Tuleh, West Pasaman. This research is quantitative using the true experimental design method. The design of this study is posttest only control design. The sampling technique of this study was the Simple Random Sampling technique. The data in this study are test scores rewrite biographical texts, without and using the Think Talk write (TTW) model of X Grade Students of SMK Negeri 1 Gunung Tuleh, West Pasaman. The results of this study are (a) The ability to rewrite biographical texts without using the Think Talk Write (TTW) model of X Grade  students of SMK Negeri 1 Gunung Tuleh, West Pasaman, producing an average score of 62.30 that is sufficiently qualified. (b) The ability to rewrite biographical texts by using the Think Talk Write (TTW) model of X Grade students of SMK Negeri 1 GunungTuleh, West Pasaman District produces an average score of 85.18 with good quality. (c) Significant influence on resulting from the ability to rewrite biographical texts without and using the Think Talk write (TTW) model of X Grade Students of SMK Negeri 1 Gunung Tuleh, West Pasaman  because of tcount> t table (8.57 > 1.67).
