Abstrak :

 

The research was distributed by the student's mathematical understanding is far from expected. This research the purpose of to find out whether there is influence of the application of active learning strategies type Learning Starts With A Question (LSQ) towards the understanding of mathematical concepts of grade VIII SMP Negeri 30 Sijunjung. This type of research is research pre-experiments with experimental design pre-and post-test one random research and design group against the subject. The population in this research is grade VIII SMP Negeri 30 Sijunjung 2017/2018 Lessons Year. The technique of sampling was taken at random. Research instrument was a pretest and posttest shaped essay with the amount reserved as many as six grains. Data analysis techniques used were test t. Based on the analysis of value data and pretest postest retrieved value t calculate = 26.21 and t tabel =  2.04, the value t calculate > t table. Then it can be concluded that the use of active learning strategies type Learning Starts With A Question (LSQ) influence on the understanding of the mathematical concepts of grade VIII SMP Negeri 30 Sijunjung.
