Abstrak :

The background of this research is textbook used by the students that is not fully given the

challenges yet to construct the comprehension. The students are not fully led to find out one concept by

themselves and associate it in daily life. The aim of the research is to produce LKS based contextual teaching

and learning on the subject of linier equation system with three valid, practical, and effective variables in

tenth grade MIA SMAN 3 Padang. This research is a developing research with 4-D model consisted of define,

design, develop, dessiminate. The data gotten were analyzed byboth qualitative and quantitative. Based on

the data analysis, it can be sum up that data LKS developed hold on valid criterion which is 14,63Yo. The

result of teacher's practical test is 75% and student's practical tets is 89,66%. The percentage of the study

completeness in tenth grade MIA 1 is 83,33%. The conclusion of the research produces LKS based on

contextual teaching and learning approaches which are valid, practical, and effective variables on the subject

of linier equation system with three variables in tenth grade students MIA of SMAN 3 Padang.
