Abstrak :

This article is motivated in the learning process. Students often do not pay attention to the teacher when the teacher explains the learning material, chatting with his friends during the teaching and learning process, often noisy and not active in learning, do not want to ask questions or answer questions from the teacher and when working on LKS many imitate have a friend. This makes student learning outcomes so low that many do not reach the defined KKM. This article aims to describe efforts to improve student learning outcomes through the Active learning model Type Learning Star With A Question on Sociology Class XI Social Studies in Al-Istiqamah High School West Pasaman Regency. The theory used in this article is the learning theory of behaviorism. The results of the article found that the use of Active learning models Type Learning Start With A Question can improve student learning outcomes. In the first cycle, the average student learning outcomes were less satisfying, namely 67.03, while in the second cycle the average had increased to 84.86
