Abstrak :

Presenting the material of textbook that less facilitated the students in learning

process. It cause not guiding the student yet in founding the concept on the

composition function material independently. To understanding concept easier, it will

be needed the laerning material like student worksheet with the guided observation.

This research is aim to produce the valid, practice, and effective student worksheet

with guided observation on the material of composition function at class XI IPA

SMAN 9 Padang. The tipe of this research is developing the research by using Plomp

model that is consist of three phase as preliminary, prototypingphase, and assessment

phase (Plomp, 2013: 19), the preliminary research stage is consist of interviewing the

students and teacher, analyzing the textbook, analyzing the student’s character, and

literature. Prototyping phase stage are desinging the systematic of student

worksheet’s structure, arranging the prototype, self evaluation, and the expert survey,

one to one evaluation and small group evaluation. The assessment phase stage are

big group testing of one class, XI IPA 3 as the experiment class. The percentage of

validity result of student workshee is guided observation is on valid category on

81,14% . The percentage of small group experiment of the student produce guided

observation student worksheet is concluded on practice category on 86,2%.

Moreover, the student worksheet is effective by the result of the experiment n-gain at

average 0,64% with medium category, it is produced of the comparing the average of

pretest 42,80 and posttest 84,24.
