Abstrak :

        This research is motivated by the lack of active student in activities. Teaching and learning activities asking questions, adding answers and giving advice on sociologi lessons at silungkang SDI HIGH SCHOOL based. These problems researches are interested in using one model student facilitator and explaining in learning sociology. Purpose research to describe the application of student facilitator and models explaining can increase learning activities of class X students of SDI Silungkang. The theory used in this research is the theory of contructivism, because with contructivism theory students can find new ideas, ideas and opinion in making concept maps. This type of research is quantitative type descriptive. The population in this study were all students of class X IPS high school Silungkang SDI, amouting to 32 people. Sampling using total sampling, the number of samples equal to the population of 32 people. Data type in this study are primary data and secondary data. Collection technique observation data and study documents. The data analysis unit is a group of class students X IPS consisting of teacher and students. Data analysis techniques using formulas percentage.The result of this study revealed that the percentage of leraning activities 50% presentation indicator students, who ask 35%, who add answers 25%, and give 3% advice. Although this percentage is not much, but every meeting 1 to meeting 2 and to meeting 3 has increased, so it can be concluded learning activities using the student learning model facilitator and explaining increase in each meeting
