Abstrak :

        This study discusses the application of the reflective maternal method for deaf children in SLBN 1 Sungai Pagu, Solok Selatan Regency. The right method used is the Reflective Maternal Method as implemented in Sungai Pagu SLBN 1. This study aims to describe how the application of the Reflective Maternal Method for deaf children in SLBN 1 Sungai Pagu, Solok Selatan Regency. The theory used is JB theory. Watson about behavior. This research uses a qualitative research method with descriptive type. The location of this research is Sungai Pagu, Solok Selatan  Regency. Taking or selecting informants using purposive sampling technique with 7 informants. The type of data used is primary data and secondary data. Methods of data collection through two stages, namely: (1) non-participant observation (2) in- depth interviews. The unit of analysis individually is the teacher who teaches deaf students to class III elementary school. Data analysis uses interactive data analysis proposed by Miles and Huberman, which consists of 4 stages, namely (1)Data Collection (2) Data Reduction (3) Data Presentation and (4)Conclusions.

Based on the results of this study indicate that learning activities through MMR in class III elementary school consists of 3 stages, namely (1) perdati (2) percami and(3) reflection phase. Since the implementation of the Reflective maternal method in SLBN 1 Sungai Pagu, students have made progress in the teaching and learning process, many students have progressed. In the teaching and learning process the teacher takes a personal approach to students. With the progress experienced by deaf students, it can be concluded that the application (MMR) of deaf children in SLBN 1 Sungai Pagu was successful.
