Abstrak :

The learning process has a variety of textbooks that can be used, there are manual and some are electric. Every change in curriculum will definitely bring up the renewal of teaching textbooks which are considered more encouraging in increasing competence. Textbooks will also develop from conventional to sophisticated technology needed to facilitate the learning process, one of which is digital based textbooks. Therefore, the purpose of this research is to develop a valid and practical digital-based textbook for simulation subjects and digital communication class X SMK Negeri 1 Pariaman. This research is a development research using Plomp design. Performed in two stages, namely stage 1) preliminary research and stage 2) prototyping phase. The evaluation method used refers to a formative evaluation design consisting of self-evaluation, expert review, and one-on-one evaluations. Validity data was collected through digital-based textbook validation activities by experts and analyzed with quantitative descriptive techniques. Practicality data was collected through a practicality questionnaire of teachers and students, analyzed with quantitative descriptive.
The results of digital-based textbook validation analysis are very valid and feasible to use. The results of practicality analysis show that digital-based textbooks are very practical to use in learning.
