Physics learning in schools using a scientific approach has not run optimally where the learning process is still centered on educators while students are still passive. Because in essence the scientific approach is expected to encourage students in finding out from various sources through observation and not just being told. Educators provide some questions when learning, but only a few students who play an active role. This affects the learning outcomes of students' physics to be low. This study aims to determine whether the physics learning outcomes of students with the application of Generative learning models is better than using a scientific approach in class XI MIPA SMA N 1 Sungai Aur. The results obtained in the average cognitive domain for learning outcomes in the experimental class 56.33 while the average value in the control class 52.22. In the affective domain the average experimental class is 55.2 and the average control class is 50.36. Then the hypothesis testing is obtained tcount = 2.94 with t_table = 1.75 because tcount> ttable, the physics learning outcomes of students with the application of Generative learning models are better instead of using a scientific approach in class XI MIPA SMA N I Sungai Aur.
