Abstrak :

This research is based on by the comprehension mathematical concept are still low and students less could be in their opinions. This research aims to determine students comprehension of mathematical concept by applying a strategy of cooperative learning Time Token accomparied quiz better than the students comprehension of mathematical concepts with conventional teaching in class XI IPS SMA PGRI 2 Padang. This type of research is experimental research on the subject with a random design. The population in class XI IPS SMA PGRI 2 Padang academi year 2016/2017. Class selected sample is XI IPS 1 class as the experimental and the control class XI IPS 2. The research instrument was quiz and the final test in the form of essay. Hypothesis testing using one side of t-test. Based on the analysis of data obtained . So it can be concluded that the students comprehension of mathematical concept that apply strategy of cooperative learning Time Token accomparied quiz is better than students comprehension of mathematical concept that apply conventional learning model in class XI IPS SMA PGRI 2 Padang.
