Abstrak :


This research is motivated by the application of a scientific approach that is not fully implemented so that the learning outcomes of biology students on Ilkim Change material are low. This can be seen from the average biology daily repetition of class VII students of SMP Negeri 1 Sitiung kabupaten Dharmasraya, which are still under the Minimum Passing Criteria (KKM). To overcome this, it requires a learning that is able to involve students in understanding learning material. One of the learning models used is the Guided Inquiry learning model that is accompanied by drawing media. This study aims to determine the application of the Guided Inquiry learning model (guided inquiry) accompanied by media images of the learning outcomes of seventh grade biology students at SMP Negeri 1 Sitiung kabupaten Dharmasraya. This research is an experimental study, using the Randomized Control-Group Posttest Only Design design, with the entire population of class VII of SMP Negeri 1 Sitiung. Sampling using purposive sampling technique. Assessment instruments with self and peer assessment sheets, objective questions, and writing papers. Data on student learning outcomes in the affective, cognitive and psychomotor domains were analyzed using t-test with level (α = 0.05). It can be concluded that the application of the Guided Inquiry learning model (guided inquiry) accompanied by drawing media can improve the learning outcomes of VII grade Biology students at SMP Negeri 1 Sitiung Kabupaten Dharmasraya.
