Abstrak :

            The background of the research was because lower ability of student’s in writing descriptive text at tenth grade senior high school number 1 Palembayan Kabupaten Agam. The findings were as follow; First, The student’s writing ability in descriptive text at tenth grade senior high school number 1 Palembayan Kabupaten Agam before using SAVI Model, they got the mean 65,61 by the qualification is more than enough in arrange of 66-75%. Second, The ability after using SAVI Model is 72,43 by qualification More than enough in arrange of 66-75%. Third, there was the significant effect of using SAVI Model towards student’s writing ability in descriptive text.  Senior high school number 1 Palembayan Kabupaten Agam. Based on t-test, it can be concluded that hypothesis (H1) is accepted in sigfnificance 95% and  tcalculated > ttable (tcalcuted (3,67) > ttable (1,67). Based on result, H1 was accapted and H0 (null hypothesis) was rejected.
