This study aims to analyze and find out about the Spatial Analysis of the Transfer of Functions of the Bukit Suligi Protected Forest of Riau Province in the form of: 1). Transfer rate, 2) Spatial distribution of functions, 3) Local government policies.This type of research is qualitative descriptive. The population in this study is an area that includes protected forests of suligi hill. Data sources taken are Primary Data obtained from the interpretation of the images of Lansad 7 and 8 as well as interviews with the Environment and Forestry Service and the community and the collection of secondary data from the Environmental Office and Riau Province Forestry.The results showed that: 1) The rate of conversion of the Bukit Suligi from 2000-2009-2018, with the forest area in protected forests having undergone a function conversion over 19,194.25 Ha or 74.56%. The average rate of conversion of protected forests reaches 4.14% per year. 2) The conversion of function to bush in 2000-2009 became the largest area of 13,840.84 Ha or 43.54%, while for the smallest one, the plantation became open land in 2000-2018 9.86 Ha or 0.03%. 3). Local government policies such as Community Forest Management (CBFM) and Community Forestry (HKM).
