Abstrak :

               This research is motivated by the following problems. The lack of student understanding in writing descriptive paragraph. The purpose of this study is deskribe the efectiveness of studen’s writing skill on deskriptive paragraph before and after using Quantum Learning at tenth grede SMAN 2 Ranah Pesisir and effectiveness of Quantum Learning model toward student’s writing skill in deskriptive paragraph at tenth grade SMAN 2 Ranah Pesisir. This typea of this study is quantitative using the experimental method Quasi Esperimental. The technique sampling is total sampling. The design of this study is One Group Pretest-Postest Design. The populations of this study was all of tenth grade studen’s SMAN 2 Ranah Pesisir.The sample of this study were 60 student. The data in this study are score of student’s deskriptive paragraph writing skills before and after using the Quantum Learning model. The condusion of this study as follows: first, student’s writing skill in deskriptive paragraph at tenth grade SMAN 2 Ranah Pesisirobtained am average Quantum Learning model obtained an average score score of 54,44 with qualification of (C). Secondly, the student’s writing skill in deskriptive paragraf at tenth grade SMAN 2 Ranah Pesisir after using Quantum Learning model obtained an average score 78,89 with qualification (B). Third, Based on the t-test it can be seen that the results of tcount=7,65 and ttable=1,67. Furthemore, use of Quantum Learning is effective toward studen writing skill in deskriptive paragraph at tenth grade SMAN 2 Ranah Pesisir.
