Abstrak :

            The research background of student habits in which students do not create lesson schedules don’t repeat home classes, didn’t have a science textbook before start the class, and rarely visit the library to read science books, cause a low value. So, has been research done on student study habits with a view to knowing the relationship study habits with students learning results at class VIII SMPN 16 Padang. The kind of descriptive research with teachnique proportional random sampling. The sample in the research was of the class VIII SMPN 16 Padang, with respondend of VIII. 1 and VIII.2 of 63. The free variable is the learning habits and variable is the learning result. Instruments of a scale of 72 statements. Data analysis used in this study is the correlation of moment product, determinate coefficient formula and t test. Based on research obtained by study habits of 0,17% with low criteria, to now if the correlation means or not, the effect of the correlation of the moment was tested by the signification test of the formula of t. Our data processing results show tvalue 1,35 while ttable 1,67. Then it can be conclusion that, there is no significant connection between student learning habits and student science results of the class VIII SMPN 16 Padang 2019/2020.
