Abstrak :

            This research was motivated by the problem of students, not understanding writing procedural texts. This study aims to describe the procedural text writing skills before and after using the Logan Avenue Problem Solving-Heuristic model, and the effect of using the Logan Avenue Problem Solving-Heuristic model on the procedural text writing skills of class XI students of SMA Negeri 1 Koto XI Tarusan. This type of quantitative research with experimental methods. The research sample was students of class XI MIA 2 totaling 30 people. The data in the study were the scores of the procedural text writing skills before and after using the Logan Avenue Problem Solving-Heuristic model for class XI students of SMA Negeri 1 Koto XI Tarusan. Based on the research results, it is concluded as follows. First, the procedural text writing skills of class XI students of SMA Negeri 1 Koto XI Tarusan before using the Logan Avenue Problem Solving-Heuristic model obtained an average score of 63.71, in the 56-65% range of sufficient qualifications. Second, the procedural text writing skills of class XI students of SMA Negeri 1 Koto XI Tarusan after using the Logan Avenue Problem Solving-Heuristic model obtained an average score of 75.92, in the range 66-75% the qualification is more than sufficient. Third, based on the t-test results obtained count (2.46)> t table (1.70). Thus, the use of the Logan Avenue Problem Solving-Heuristic model affects the procedural text writing skills of class XI students of SMA Negeri 1 Koto XI Tarusan.
