This research was motivated
by the presence of scout members who had a low level of learning independence,
the presence of scout members who had not yet been attached to the discipline
in attending the lesson. The purpose of this study is to describe the profile
of learning independence of students who take scout extracurricular activities
from the initiative, confidence, decision making and responsibility. This
research uses quantitative descriptive method. The study population was 40
students, and included a sample. The instrument used was a questionnaire.
Validity test uses the Pearson Product Moment formula while reliability uses
the Alpha Cronbach method and researchers use percentage analysis techniques.
Based on the results of research on the profile of the independence of students
who participated in scout extracurricular in general were in the independent
category (85.00%), and seen from the indicator that the initiative was in the
category of quite independent (72.50%), confidence in the category was quite
independent (90.00 %), making decisions in the independent category (57.50%),
responsibility in the category of quite independent (80.00%). This study is
recommended for students to improve learning independence so students can
