Abstrak :

This research is motivated by the following problems: students still have difficulties in developing their ideas in writing moral / fable story texts. This study aims to describe the skill that writing moral/fable story texts before they have been used in modeling techniques influence the use of modeling techniques on writing skills of moral story / fablesis texts of the VII XI Tarusan VIII Junior High School. This research has conducted a quantitative study with a method of simulation and a design research experiments that were used in experimental design with One Group Pretest-Posttest Design. The number of population in this study were 107 people and samples of the research are 23 people, that us class VIII.2 with the sampling technique used was purposive sampling. Based on the results of data analysis and discussion, the results of this study are formed. First, the skill to write moral story / fable text of eighth grade students of SMP Negeri 3 Koto XI Tarusans before using modeling techniques to obtain an average grade of 58.21 is in the range of 56-65% Qualification (C). Second, the skill in writing moral story / fable text after using the modeling technique of the eighth grade students of SMP Negeri 3Koto XI Tarusan obtained an average score of 77.04 in the range of 76 - 85% Good qualification (B). Third, there is a significant influence on the use of modeling techniques on Class VIII Moral / Fable Story Text Writing Skills of SMP Negeri 3Koto XI Tarusan Because Tcount> Ttable (9.17> 1.71).
